Todd Myers Joins Bailey Glasser’s New Kentucky Office as Partner

Bailey & Glasser, LLP is pleased to announce the opening of our new Lexington, Kentucky office and the addition of Todd C. Myers as partner. Todd joins the firm’s Civil Defense Practice Group, giving the firm a dedicated presence in Kentucky and expanded capacity to serve coal, energy, and heavy-industry clients across the region.

Todd brings more than 26 years of experience as in-house counsel and litigator for some of the country’s largest mining and mineral development companies. Most recently, he served as VP, Associate General Counsel, and Assistant Secretary at Alliance Resource Partners, L.P., where he directed enforcement defense, civil litigation, and regulatory compliance across operations in West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana. Before that, he spent eight years as Senior Vice President of Risk Management and Associate General Counsel at Blackhawk Mining, LLC.

Rebecca Pomeroy, the firm’s Civil Defense Practice Group Leader, stated: “Todd Myer’s unique and important experience will be a major asset to our industrial clients. Our new Kentucky office also allows us to broaden our local representation in the area and allows us to be of the greatest service to all our clients.”

Todd’s practice covers the full range of federal regulatory issues facing mining and heavy-industry clients, including Clean Water Act enforcement, SMCRA permitting and bond-release proceedings, CERCLA and RCRA litigation, and matters before the Federal Mine Safety Review Commission. He also represents clients in governmental investigations involving workplace accidents and union-represented workforces.
