In Memory of Joseph “Joe” Rice

We honor and mark the passing of Joseph “Joe” Rice, who was a fierce plaintiff’s lawyer, honorable colleague, and true friend. Over the course of his estimable career, he helped innumerable people grappling with the hardest challenges in their lives as they faced down illness and injury from tobacco, asbestos, and other defective products and poisonous chemicals. All of us here at Bailey Glasser were honored to know and fight alongside him, including Ben Bailey, Brian Glasser, David Selby, Katherine Charonko, Todd Mathews, and Samira Bode.

Our hearts go out to his family, and the wonderful photo in the image below comes from his daughter Ann, who herself became a fierce trial lawyer and carries on her father’s legacy at the firm he co-founded, Motley Rice LLC.
